punishing the stepping out of line
that's the life that's alright

so I'll stop pretending
trying to be someone that I'm not
it'll compliment me and I'll say thanks for gratuitous unrelenting belief in a self that can't exist
shaping a world that is in my favour
not just a dream

shaped by a world where the only danger is being alive

the softest parts on paper
keep the smallest eyes from traumatising
hang the bigger picture from the television screen so all the fires can be seen
they grow up so fast
