What is this afresh hell?
I got that idea from burning blunt lips but I can't tell if that ideals gonna stand
I stand alone, I watch, I wait, I wonder
I hear the sound of wooden thunder coming soon

I know what to do when I say to people I feel something else
and I see their eyes glaze over and they can't think
well today you are a person but tomorrows on its way
I make no promises that the slot machines won't spin the other way

We're standing on the lines
of the findings of our time
and we're following the light from the shadows

I know that it's true but I save it for the good of rainy days
not like anybody listens to me anyway
plus I don't think that I'm gospel, I'm just human after all
so maybe I will wait til after I've achieved a better life for myself
then still not hand down words

this business in itself is absolute and it haunts me
it's got deals that I can't sell
got an appeal to the damned
I'm blind so I am lost, I traipse, I wander
I hear the distant sound of thunder
